About The Peanut Project

Every Child. Every Time.

The Peanut Project, Inc. was founded on a simple belief: Every child deserves dignity, comfort, and a sense of belonging, regardless of the circumstances that bring them into care.

When children enter foster care, kinship care, or other out-of-home placements, the transition can happen suddenly. Some arrive without clothing, hygiene products, familiar belongings, or even a bag to carry their possessions.

We believe no child should have to navigate such an uncertain moment without the basic necessities that help them feel cared for.

Serving children from birth through age 17 throughout Central Indiana, The Peanut Project works to provide emergency placement kits filled with age-appropriate clothing, personal care products, comfort items, and other essentials.

Our goal is to ease the immediate burden on children and caregivers while helping restore a small measure of stability during a difficult transition.

More Than Just Supplies

A clean pair of pajamas. A toothbrush of their own. A stuffed animal to hold. These may seem like small things, but for a child facing an unfamiliar environment, they can mean so much more.

Every kit represents a message:

You matter. You are seen. You deserve to be cared for.

Through community generosity, volunteer support, and partnerships, we hope to make that message a reality for every child we can reach.

Every Child. Every Time.
